This page is late and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. We have kept a complete record of Loudoun County and of the NOVA Flag Football Conference since August. Richmond is where this outlet is based, and until November we had almost nothing from it.
What follows was read school by school out of the same district results system that carries Loudoun, in the first week of November. It is not a complete record and we are not going to present it as one. It is a start, and it is more than existed anywhere before.
Who is playing
Twelve schools across three jurisdictions, and one private school.
Richmond Public Schools: Armstrong, Franklin Military Academy, Huguenot, John Marshall, Richmond Community, Richmond High School of the Arts and Thomas Jefferson.
Henrico County: Henrico, Highland Springs and Varina.
Petersburg: Petersburg.
Independent: Cristo Rey Richmond.
They do not play in one league. Richmond's schools mostly play each other on Tuesdays, Henrico's mostly play each other, Petersburg plays across both, and on three Saturdays schools from all of it met at one site. Nobody has published a table, a structure or a champion, and this page does not invent one.
Richmond has been playing this sport longer than anywhere else in Virginia we know of, and it is the only part of the state where we cannot tell you who is winning.
The season so far
36 fixtures. 19 carry a score. 16 are blank and one was canceled. A blank is a game the system shows with no result entered. It is not a game that did not happen, and we leave it blank rather than guess.
The first game we can find is September 3, Varina at Henrico, and the most recent is November 4. The season is still being played as this page goes up.

Records, computed from the scores above
These are ours. Nobody publishes a table for this region, so we built one from the 19 games that carry a score, with a drawn game counting as half a win. Because half the fixtures are blank, these records describe the games that were reported and not the season. Treat them as a floor.
Every school, by the reported games
| School | Division | W | L | T | For | Against |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| John Marshall | Richmond | 5 | 0 | 0 | 157 | 0 |
| Henrico | Henrico | 5 | 1 | 1 | 143 | 54 |
| Huguenot | Richmond | 3 | 1 | 0 | 48 | 26 |
| Highland Springs | Henrico | 2 | 2 | 0 | 58 | 51 |
| Petersburg | Petersburg | 1 | 1 | 0 | 24 | 47 |
| Armstrong | Richmond | 1 | 3 | 0 | 38 | 55 |
| Thomas Jefferson | Richmond | 1 | 3 | 0 | 19 | 69 |
| Varina | Henrico | 0 | 1 | 1 | 24 | 44 |
| Cristo Rey Richmond † | private | 0 | 1 | 0 | 6 | 36 |
| Franklin Military Academy | Richmond | 0 | 2 | 0 | 6 | 71 |
| Richmond High School of the Arts | Richmond | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 58 |
| Richmond Community † | Richmond | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 12 |
† Cristo Rey Richmond and Richmond Community have no team page of their own in the system. Their rows come only from the pages of the schools they played, so they are the two least complete rows here.
The ten schools that do have a team page each publish their own record, and all ten match what we computed, school by school, from fixtures transcribed one at a time. That is the check that matters: we did not copy the records, we rebuilt them and then compared.
Where this comes from
Every fixture and every score on this page was read off the schools' own pages in the district results system, in the first week of November. Where two schools played each other, both pages were read and compared, and in every case they agreed, including on which games have no score.
Nothing here came from a person. Nobody in Richmond, Henrico or Petersburg has confirmed any of it to us, and the one thing we were promised in August, a schedule, never arrived. If you run one of these programs and something on this page is wrong, tell us and we will fix it the same day and say in print that we did.
What we do not know yet
- Whether there is a league, and what it is called. Twelve schools are playing each other. No structure, no standings and no name has been published anywhere we can find.
- Half the scores. 16 of 36 fixtures are blank in the system. Reporting is uneven by school rather than uniformly thin.
- What the Saturday events are. September 12, October 3 and October 24 each put several schools at one site. We do not know whether they are jamborees, festivals or rounds of something.
- Whether a postseason is coming. Nothing in any source names one.
- Whether twelve is all of them. Two of the twelve surfaced only as somebody else's opponent, so there may be others we have not seen.
Coaches, athletic directors and parents in these twelve schools:
We will publish any score you send, free, credited to you. We will publish your tryout and signup information free. And if we have a game wrong here, we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
