Seventeen Loudoun County high schools are fielding girls flag football teams this fall. The season opens Tuesday, August 18, and ends with a county championship at Potomac Falls High School on Tuesday, October 13.
Every school is here, Freedom and Park View and Lightridge and John Champe and Dominion included. It comes from the LCPS master schedule, published with the district's permission, so families can find the whole season in one place.
LCPS has eighteen high schools. We don't yet know whether William O. Robey in Sterling, which opened in 2024, is fielding a team this year. If it is, we would like to add it.
Fairfax County's season is here too. It opens September 29 and finishes with a county final at Robinson on November 14.

The district listing is the one that is wrong. Broad Run 18, Rock Ridge 0 from the LCPS results system, which Loudoun County's athletics office pointed us to on August 26, eight days after the game.

Loudoun County 19, Rock Ridge 12 is Loudoun County's first win. Independence at Freedom has moved here from September 10. Freedom's account announced the move, the district results listing carries it for both schools, and Kevin Weeren, athletic director at Freedom, confirmed on September 3 that Freedom hosts Independence at 5:30. Broad Run at Briar Woods is gone: Broad Run's listing has no game on this night and its next is September 14 at Dominion. The district listing also showed Freedom at Briar Woods at the same hour; Freedom being at home rules that out, and as far as any listing shows, Briar Woods does not play this night. Its next game is September 15 at Woodgrove.

The Bulldogs had scored two points in their first three games and had conceded eighty-three; this was a shutout the other way. Saturday, September 19 NOVA Girls Flag Championship

Sixteen teams from three counties, seven a side, in four pools of four, on four fields at Heritage. Twelve Loudoun schools are in it: Park View, Heritage, Lightridge, Freedom, Riverside, Dominion, Rock Ridge, Woodgrove, Independence, Loudoun Valley, John Champe and Potomac Falls. From outside the county, Millbrook and Sherando from Frederick County, and two squads from Colgan in Prince William. Pool play runs 9:00 to 2:00, quarterfinals at 3:00, semifinals at 4:00, the final at 5:00 on the stadium field, trophies at 6:00. Gates open at 8:30 and admission is $10 a person for the whole day.
